Alexander Clark AIA, LEED®AP, CSBA

Principal

“I enjoy being part of a collaborative team where the client is the focus of the process and the design solutions are a result of finding the synergies in the program requirements.”

Alexander spent much of his formative years living in Juneau, Alaska. From an early age he was drawn to building and constructing projects. Alexander supported himself by working in residential construction and allied fields through to his college years. Still to this day, he continues to find opportunities to swing a hammer and create spaces.

Alexander received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Idaho in 1988, with a minor in Fine Art, and a year earlier he was awarded the Pritchard Design Prize.  He is a licensed Architect in Washington and Alaska. He joined Rolluda Architects in 2007 and became a Principal of the firm in 2012. He has over 25 years experience in architecture and works primarily with government, public, institutional and educational sector clients. Alex brings a wealth of experience and passion to the projects he manages. He seeks to include clients, end users, and stakeholders in creating effective design solutions, listening to their needs and desires.

Sustainable design is a priority for Alex on all his projects, providing solutions that respect place, time, context and community. He is both a LEED Accredited Professional and a Certified Sustainable Building Advisor (CSBA).  A recent project designed and managed by Alex at  the University of Washington achieved LEED Platinum CI, a first at the UW campus.

During his free time Alex enjoys photography, artistic pursuits and the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest.
