Alvin graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Architecture. He is a licensed architect in the Philippines, with 15 years of work experience as an architect and master plumber. He moved to the United States August 2021 to start his Master of Urban and Regional Planning at Portland State University as a scholar.

Landing his first job in the United States at Rolluda Architects in 2022, Alvin had an interest in learning more about planning and design standards as well as having an international perspective on the profession.

In his spare time, Alvin loves to hike, walk his dogs, and watch documentaries. When it comes to food, he enjoys Thai and Korean cuisines.
