Brett is originally from a northern suburb of Chicago, Illinois. He received his Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2008) and his BSAS from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2006. During his education, he studied in France, Italy, and eight other countries.
After completing his studies, Brett worked on residential projects with a focus on affordable, sustainable housing. He then expanded into high-end residential, corporate office interiors and retail, including international design for a major Seattle-based coffee company and nation-wide tenant improvements and systems furniture design. Brett has worked for several architecture firms as well as his own LLC in Seattle. He has served in AmeriCorps as a construction crew leader for Habitat for Humanity in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
In Brett’s spare time, he is remodeling his 1901 farmhouse, fishing, and exploring the Pacific Northwest by bicycle.
