Eric Cranston AIA, LEED AP

Principal

“The goal of every project is to see that everybody gets what they want. The Owner gets a cost-effective building solution that inspires, the Contractor gets a project they can make a fair profit on that they can also be proud they built, and the Architect gets the chance to provide a solution that engages.”

The son of an architect, Eric was raised in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.  He knew early on he would follow in his father’s footsteps (his brother is also an architect). Eric enrolled in the architecture program at the University of Idaho, where he graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree.  He moved to Seattle that same year, and Seattle was the only place he really considered living after graduation.

Eric had previously worked for several Seattle architectural firms prior to joining Rolluda Architects in 2004, and had been acquainted with Alex Rolluda since 1988. In 2010, Eric was promoted to principal at the firm.

Eric’s leads the Boeing studio, completing nearly 600 projects since 2004. He has also worked with the State of Washington DES and the U.S. Forest Service.

Eric emphasizes practical, clean, straightforward solutions to complex design problems and manages projects with a cooperative team-effort style, not only during design, but working with contractors during construction.
