InterImCDA Community Dinner 11/2/24

For over 50 years, InterImCDA has promoted the stabilization and revitalization of Seattles International District for the benefit of its low income, minority, and elderly residents, and small businesses without gentrification and displacement. Weve assisted in leveraging over $20 million in social services, housing and community development funds in a culturally supportive manner.

 

Rolluda Architects attended InterImCDA’s Connecting with Community Dinner to reunite with friends and colleagues and celebrate InterImCDA’s history of activism in the community.

AFEW 31st Anniversary Fundraising Gala 10/26/24

The Association of Filipino-American Engineers of Washington (AFEW) is a multidisciplinary organization of engineers dedicated to fostering fellowship among its members and collaborating with community service oriented groups and organizations. They held their 31st Anniversary Fundraising Gala on Saturday, October 26. Team Rolluda was in attendance to celebrate and was recognized for being a Gold Sponsor. Chief Seattle Club Annual Luncheon 10/23/24

During the Chief Seattle Club Annual Luncheon, a moving video was shared that told the story of the healing work they do for the Native community, including providing housing at the Sacred Medicine House, a project we are honored to have had a hand in bringing to life. Sound Transit Lynnwood Link Extension Grand Opening 8/30/24

Sound Transit held its grand opening of the Lynnwood Link Extension on August 30, 2024, bringing light rail service to Snohomish County. The line connects Northgate Station to Lynnwood Transit Center. The extension spans 8.5 miles, with 47,000-55,000 daily riders expected by 2026. HNTB Jacobs Trusted Design Partners was lead designer and engineer on this project and Rolluda Architects and ScharrerAD were part of the design team for the Shoreline North/185th station.

 

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the Lynnwood City Center Station and station plazas all along the extension were filled with massive crowds eager to experience the inaugural ride and take part in the celebration. The event included many speeches from various leaders and local representatives, as well as night markets with food trucks and vendors at each of the four stations.

Filipino Chamber of Commerce of the PNW Annual Summer Golf Tournament 8/17/24

FCCPNW's Annual Summer Golf Tournament was held on Saturday, August 17 at the Washington National Golf Club. Our very own Alex Rolluda was in attendance and many meaningful connections were made on the green that day!

Harborview Bond Program Open House 7/30/24

An open house event was held on July 30th to give updates about the Bond Program and network with companies interested in the program. King County's Bond Program and Finance and Business Operations Division (FBOD) provided insight on the Bond goals, culture, and upcoming request for qualifications.

Photos from the Chief Seattle Club Sacred Medicine House Grand Opening 4/12/24

Chief Seattle Club leaders, city and county leaders, and members of the community came together to celebrate the grand opening of Sacred Medicine House on Friday, April 12. Designed by Rolluda Architects, Sacred Medicine House is a five-story, 120-unit apartment complex located on Lake City Way in northeast Seattle dedicated to permanently housing Native adults experiencing homelessness, prioritizing residents who might be in recovery. It will be a place of healing that will provide housing in a trauma-informed, culturally appropriate and holistic model centered on building community and fostering a sense of belonging.

Photos from the WWU House of Healing blessing and ground-turning ceremony 4/11/24

On Thursday, April 11, Indigenous leaders, Western Washington University students and faculty, and members of the community gathered for a blessing and ground-turning ceremony at the site of the future House of Healing. Rolluda Architects and other members of the Design Build team were also in attendance. The House of Healing is the result of decades of discussion among students, faculty, and campus administrators, and will serve as a gathering and ceremonial space for Native American students as well as Coast Salish tribal nations and community members throughout the Salish Sea region.
