RAI was part of a multidisciplinary design team providing design for this new park for the City of Renton. Phase 1 included the design of a restroom building and shell space for Phase 2's spray park pump room, and a trellis at the park entry. Phase 2 includes the design of a picnic pavilion and additional trellis elements. Located across from the Renton Highlands Library, the park features a wide north-south pedestrian walkway, restroom facilities, an entry plaza by the library with seating and an overhead pergola, additional walkways and seating areas throughout the park, and a large lawn for gathering and playing.
