This mixed-use/senior housing development was developed by HUD and the Mount Zion Housing Board. The project consists of 64 one- and two- bedroom senior housing units and 4,500 square feet of ground floor commercial space. One level of underground parking is provided.
The project is on a major transportation line. As such, and due to the fact that the units are for senior citizens, we were able to receive a reduction in the number of parking spaces required. This greatly reduced the construction cost for the project.
The project received funding from several sources including the State Housing Trust Fund, City of Seattle Department of Housing and Office of Economic Development as well as HUD. HUD guaranteed the loan, and after 40 years the project reverts to the ownership of the Mount Zion Housing Board.
